西太銀行下屬房地?基金宣佈，將投入$5億?其名下一家未上市信託金購買住宅物業。這家信託金的主要募集資金對象將瞄準養老基金。

與此同時，諸如麥覺理銀行、St George銀行這樣的大型投資者，也正在建立專門針對住宅物業市場的投資基金。

西太銀行的基金經理Lianne Buck和Lance Vasarotti表示，這表明機構投資者正打算進入價?$2.6萬億的澳洲住宅物業市場。
