I am not stating that it is for 100 % sure in the case you mention but in murders where an overkill of injuries is inflicted to the victims almost allways lies the lust of satisfying his sexual sadistic fantasies of total controle.The death of the victims is a possible consequence or necessary to prevent identification but the killers real motivation lies in materializing his sexual fantasy.

In Robert.D.Keppel's book "Signature Killers" he points out how : [ QUOTE ] Acts of picqeursm - jabbing, stabbing, cutting and gouging through the use of a knife for the purpose of sexual gratification to a killer- strike terror in living victims.Knives are fearsome and unyielding and their phallic nature as a weapon supersedes any harm the predator can inflict with his penis. Knives therefore are sexual weapons psychologically as well as combat weapons.
