I think David certainly has achieved his ambition to make the site as interesting as possible to all sections of the community and abroad. In a way the site may well have become a victim of that success in that visitors are wanting and expecting more updates than is actually necessary as compared to many of the other town web sites.

It would be beneficial to anyone intent on taking over the site or even for David to find an alternative solution to his problem to know exactly what updates users are most interested in ie. articles, topics, family history, photos, news, quizzes ect. A lot of information with regard to news and services are already available via the links to local newspapers. Visitors input is invaluable in this respect rather than criticise later if they feel the site does not offer an area of interest that might like to see available. More time could then be allocated to those areas users feel are not readily available on site elsewhere.

Old photos and pictures of the town are limited there can never be an endless supply on demand and cannot therefore be updated so regularly it dependent on the visitors who send them in. It is obvious to everyone how much time is required to keep the site fresh and alive and remain interesting to all sections and ages home and abroad.

I am sure that anyone's contribution/suggestions would be more than welcome it would be a shame if we were to loose this site. I am sure that there is a lot of people who will miss it and it's contribution to the town and people after so many years.
