Subject: Maida LEWIS? b.1909 lived Richmond Rd in 1930s ?adopted?

I am trying to find details/trace relatives of my paternal grandmother known as Maida LEWIS - though she may have been adopted/illegitmate so her birth surname may be different (no birth record exists under this name)born 13 Mar 1909 (this is the DOB she used but if adopted that may not be correct either)

In 1930 Maida married Thomas GLASENBURY (son of Charles and Edith, with a sister called Vera - also from Richmond Rd, Abertillery - a furnishers assistant).

Maida's father (according to her marr cert) was called George and at the time of her marriage was a laundry van driver. Maida was living at 128 Richmond Road, Six Bells, Abertillery. One of the winesses at her marriage was a Hilda LEWIS; the others Tudor DAVIES and Millicent PETERSON (these may be friends or family).

Maida and Thomas lived in Miskin St, Cardiff for a while and then Abertillery again (possibly nursing her dying father during the war - they had a son and daughter) before finally moving to London around 1946. When she moved two of her friends (+ families?) went too - Winnie PEAKE and Emily/Emma something who had a daughter Joyce.

ANY information would be appreciated (we are expecting there to be something unusual about her birth so please don't worry whatever the details may be).

Many thanks.
