Kirsty and Phil, why the vicious attack eh??! What the hell did Aber ever do to you? I grew up there, moved away for university in 2000, and yeah, alright, there are a million things to see and do that you haven't got access to in Aber. That doesn't alter the fact that whenever I go home, I wish I could stay. It's got it's problems, but it's got fantastic good points too. The people are legendary, there's nowhere else like it. I can be away for months on end and then see people I haven't seen for years, and it's like I haven't been away.

I live in the midlands now, I've done a fair amount of travelling across the UK and I can tell you Aber is, and always will be, the most beautiful place I've ever been. When it snows and the mountains are white it's breathtaking.

The one thing Aber does need is big injection of cash for regeneration. That would jumpstart the creation of new employment in the area, the one thing that would give everyone real pride in their hometown.

It's definitely good for people to realise there are things outside of the valley, but don't go patronising and belittling them for loving the place they live in. If doing so makes you feel good about yourselves then more fool you.

Long live Aber!
