Just to correct you a moment Carolyn.
The bakery was Howerds (hot bread rolls for a penny on the way to school from the Division St. doorway) and the bus stop outside Howerds was only used by Colliers. The reason for this being that Colliers did the Cwmtillery service clockwise i.e. up Alma St. to Cwmtillery and down Tillery St. Jones's however did the service in the opposite direction and their stop on Tillery St. was outside their booking office on the opposite side of the road from the bakers shop.
Just to make something else clear, the bust that caught fire on Powell St. happened before the `Stute fire and Red & White were not running at that time. Ralfs or Griffins where the only other bus services.
