Subject: The birth would have been registered in the Bedwellty district. Full details of how to look up records for Abertillery are given onsite at http://www.abertillery.net/oldabertillery/familyhistory/index2.html. As that says, I suggest going to http://www.1837online.com/ and looking for the birth there and then applying for a certificate online. I find it much better than going through registry offices.
