The irony is that Peter will be following a largely Labout agenda anyway, although he has shown his willingness to stand against some of their policies such as tuition fees. For my part, as a natural Labour supporter I currently have the best of both worlds - what is effectively a Labour MP but one who can think - and vote - for himself!

I would be truly amazed if Labour doesn't try to entice Peter back into the fold within a short time. I hope very much he resists and maintains the principles we voted for on 5th May. Well done again Peter.
