Subject: A question thats driving me mad 'cos I cannot find any answer

My grandmother Mary Ann Mills said she was born in Abertillery in 1872, I have found no trace of her birth in the PRO records. Her marriage certificate gives her father as Richard Mills, a miner. Grandmother said her father died when she was very young and her mother remarried. She always said she was a cousin of Rae Jenkins the orchestra conductor. Can any give me answers to the following
1. The names of churches in Abertillery where she might have been christened?
2. Where/when was Rae Jenkins born? I ask this one in the hope I might track Mary Ann down through his family!
