Subject: ABERTILLERY FAMILY HISTORY

Hi

I have always wondered about my grandparents family on my mothers side. My Grandfather came to Yorkshire in 1926 to work in the coal mines, he settled in the Thorne/Moorends area of Doncaster working at the then new Thorne Colliery. They according to my mother came from the Six Bells area of Abertillery.

The information i have from my Mother is as follows.

Grandads Name : Albert Phillips who had the following brothers and sisters
Russel Phillips
Ivor Phillips
Arabella Phillips
Charllote Phillips

Grandmothers Name : Mary Elizabeth Douglas who had the following brother and sister
Reginal Douglas
Kathrine Douglas

The following are the sons and daughters of my Grandparents who were born in Wales

Freda Phillips (95) years-old
Norman Phillips (85) II
Russel Phillips (83) II
Albert Phillips (88) II
