Author: Adrian to Power
Subject: I come in peace.. (okay, since the other board is dead, i'm just going to post this here.)

A dark blotch mars the pristine surroundings, moving forward at a steady pace. Only as the blotch approaches closer does it reveal itself as a stallion. Bold yet thin, the mistakenly ordinary looking thoroughbred curses the land of purity with his very presence. Four, hardened black hooves course rhythmically through the sands of the isle, the fine grains of rock building upon them as the horse crosses through a shallow tide pool. In the shadow of a tall dune, the blood-horse appears an inky black. However, as he passes back within the brightly cheering sunlight, his thin coat is an obvious faded auburn, pointed by darkness. A wild black mane adorns his proudly carried crest, and his overgrown and tangled forelock nearly covers his chocolate covered eyes. Two ink tinged ears jar back and forth in time with the jolting motion of the bay's rough trot. He has come only for a simply diplomatic talk, not fights and blood. And no other evil follows him within the Light capital. With an earnestly aloof air, the evil King's pools sweep about, searching for Shazaam.

"Shazaam, we need to talk."

The red sun rose in the distant hills as dawn slowly laced her grip upon the world. Her lips caressed the planet with warming love that seemed to spread through the darkness, and send it creeping behind the horizon. With the morning sun, Shazaam's gaze caught sight of the Evil King and slowly he traversed forward. His facade was wrenched in stress and irritation, like a general who was looking over a map of the enemie's land, trying to discover new plans of attack and defense. He halted himself a few feet away and nodded in respect. Just because they were on opposite sides of beliefs, didn't mean the two had to fued in a peaceful conversation.

"Yes Adrian, I believe we do."

In return to Shazaam's gesture, the auburn coloured stallion lowers his mug before raising it again in a horse-like bow. Carefully, he examines the other making note of the discontentment the Light King displays. Yet almost the same can be said for Adrian, although the irritation is replaced by bold confidence. But being brave is also being daft, and the young bay stallion is guilty of this crime. This fact, however, does not deter him one bit. The thoroughbred places his naturally defiant gaze onto the 'enemy' leader.

"War is inevitable."

The ebon' pointed male suddenly states. His voice does not hold a bellowing quality like many other 'all powerful' leaders' voices do. Rather, he simply speaks, quiet yet properly strong and defined.

"And that is how I meant it to be."

Such strange words come from the mouth of a normally 'peaceful' horse.

"The evils declare war on the lights. What are you willing to give to make it stop?"

[> (Inevitable) -- Shazaam, 22:28:10 09/06/03 Sat [1]

Raven-touched auds funneled forward, listening intently to Adrian's words. Rather than raging in anger at the statement, the reserved bay simply nodded, his dark gaze weary.

"War is inevitable, yes, but not necessary. However, what has been started cannot be undone."

At the question, he paused briefly, letting the demand sink in. Give? What wouldn't he give to see his lands peaceful and all the residents safe? To know that his offspring would flourish in a land unblemished by warfare or bloodshed? His immediate internal answer was "anything", but he hesitated in speaking the word. A little more diplomacy was in order.

"What would I give? What would you give to know that your subjects did not have to suffer unneccesarily? If you are a true King, then you know that answer. Perhaps you should spare us both the trouble and let me know what it is that you want."

He spoke matter-of-factly, knowing there had to be an ulterior motive. He held his finely carved head high and waited, wondering if Adrian would actually cooperate and explain his side's actions.

[> Trots. -- Aphrodite's Flower, 23:13:28 09/06/03 Sat [1]

The golden mare canters up.
"War is upon I shall speak plainly. My name is Aphrodite's Flower. I come, as lead of Babbling Brook of the Neutral horses, as a quest giver, and a friend to the lights. I shall fight for the Lights, I have great powers. May you be warend (she nods to Adrian)."
Her eyes are determined, she will figth as much as poccible. Her sister had already taken to fighting at Frozen Lake, the Neutral mares would not watch such harm come to the Lights..

[> .[dead air]. -- Adrian, 00:10:56 09/07/03 Sun [1]

He looks from one side and then to the other before realigning his eyes back upon the bay. An odd, half spooked half amused expression crosses his facade. He waits a moment before choosing his words with care.

"Oh, I know exactly what you would give. And it probably is not practical nor feasible. However, I should not be so judgemental. What is it that I want?"

A creeping half grin begins to form. It disappears briefly before reappearing once again. The thoroughbred's dark brown eyes flash with lofty humour and distant wildness.

"Victory. One piece of the pie at a time. You see, it's like a game of Risk. Any evil would tell you that. But this type of thing cannot be given out, that is why I asked for less. It seems you are not willing to offer me anything. Instead, you ask what I truly want. That is my answer."

A black tipped ear draws itself back in elegantly refined malice. The auburn evil only offers half of his attentions to the dimly pugnacious female. Eyes squint as he looks at her carefully, trying to figure something out.

"You are a neutral? You don't act like a neutral."

The stallion muses irritatedly, preparing to leave the Isle. Bad note or good note, he had come here with only one objective in the first place.

[> (Veni Vidi Vici) -- Shazaam, 00:44:09 09/07/03 Sun [1]

Again he listened, first to Aphrodite's Flower and then to Adrian. His chiseled visage was contemplative, his demeanor calm and composed. Long ebon' banner swayed idly as he formulated his response. When he finally spoke, his deep tenor was even and quiet.

"I appreciate your help, m'lady. Please have your residents join us here. I will be addressing the Isle shortly."

His serene liquid gaze returned to Adrian.

"I offer you nothing that was yours to begin with. I will not offer pretty bribes for a freedom that was ours only days ago. The Lights will be free again, mark my words Adrian."

That being said, the dark bay nodded curtly and turned away, long limbs carrying him back to his herd and all of the other equines that had arrived.
