The dappled sterling mare tore herself away from the green shoots that grew tantalizingly from the shallow, sandy soil. mothering gear full tilt she trots over, ears pinned and head lowered defiantly, barring any confrontation until she discovers the youth's home and parentage. "Hello there little one," she cooed, usually harsh vocals soft and soothing.

Small body jumps at the appearance of the mare. Soft eyes look up at the larger horse with slightly puzzled look. "Hello," she says politely but shyly.
