There should be a law as in the city projects , section 8, and Mitchell lama program for low income tenants, there is no longer low income apartments, to charge monthly rent, according to how much you make per week. If you make $200 per week, charge $200 per month rent. if you make $500 per week, charge $500 per month for rent. if you make $1500 per week, charge $1500 per month rent. we are nothing but economic slaves for the rich and powerful. The only way that they can remain rich and powerful is through this system of supply and demand, market system, which only about 1/3 of the american fammilies participate in the ownership of shares of a company. The only way they can remain rich and powerful is by keeping the poor poor. There are about 500 major companies in this country that have all the wealth and all the power and are the big decision makers about how the country should be run. For example, an election for the presidency cost about 20 or more million dollars. Where does the money come from? It is not from the working poor. It comes from the major companies that want their laws and decisions passed. Also, lobbys that are send to Washington to represent their cause and needs. Consequently, they have design a system that is almost full proof. An economic system that will keep them on top and you on the bottom. People use to make $10 (ten) dollars per week and with that they pay rent, buy food, clothing and other expenses. Today youo make $500, $600 or $1,000 per week or more and you are still behind your rent and trying to make ends meet. You are living a poor man's standard of living. Why is that? Because everytime you get a raise they take it right back by raising your rent, food, clothing and other expenses. You think youo are getting more but you are not. You are getting less. I tell my boss not to give me a raise. Instead of giving me a raise, lower foods, clothing, rents and the standard of living of the rich and powerful, They don't need billions to live on. I get by with the same suit all year round. What is the sense of getting a 4% raise and then everything else, your rent, food, clothing, movies, travel and other expenses go up 8%. What they are doing is taken back the 4% and more, leaving you with the same debts and economic struggles of everyday life in this country. They think that they are getting over on us. They probably go to bed at night, thinking how naive and ignorant we are to let them do this to us and not see what is happening. However, God does not like ugliness and sooner or later people like all ] nations have to face the4 wrath of God for their selfishness and lack of sensitivy and love for their neighbors. God said there are only two commandments that you must keep and obey. First, love God with all your heart, mind, soul and all your strength. Second, Love your neighbor as yourself. To love my neighbor as myself means that If Iam happy I want my neighbor to be happy, if I have an education, I want you to have an education. If I have health insurance, I want you to have health insurance. If I hae a job, I want you to have a job, If I have a place to live, I want you to have a place to live also. However, we all know that is not the case. In this country the motto is God bless us all and every man for himself. How is it possible that only 5% of a population of 240 or 260 million people have all the money and all the power? while, the rest of us are going crazy trying to figure out what is what and how to make ends meet. Soldiers fight and die in Iraq to make the rich richer with oil (price of gas and oil going up) and to make the poor, vets and TWU poorer with poverty (budget cuts, unemployment, less benefits and pay.) A pair of pants only cost clothing companies about $2 to make in another country. Then, they bring it here and sell it to you for $20, $30 or $40. The only way this country can compete with others countries is by lowering our standard of living to theirs, which $1.00 per day or $5 per week or raise their low minimum wage to ours. I asked my superior for a piece of foam rubber I saw in the garbage can. He said that would be a conflict of interest. In other words. this economy is not about giving anything away is about makinng you spend your money. Another time, I was going to take a tray from the kitchen that was being thrown away. I was told if I take it is $50 dollar fine. In other words, go to the cafeteria and spend your money or we won't make any money. They rather throw the food away in the garbage can than to see some get it for nothing. It makes me angry to know that this country throw away enough food in garbage cans to feed a nation. It makes me angry when they ask on T.V. to contribute some money for starving kids and people in other poor countries when they are throwing the food away in garbage cans. I remember a lady praying one day before having supper. She thanks God for all the abundance in this country and how bad other countries were suffering. I said to her "The reason you have that plate of food in front of you is because they took it away from that poor country to give it to you here. The TWU Local 100 did not stand a chance against the MTA. The MTA has the courts, the judges and the law on their side, which is another way of keeping the poor poor. They make laws that prohibit you from claiming what is your right. The human right to live with dignity, to have a better standing of living, housing, education, health insurance and a job that pays a standard of living wages. I say either bring our standards of living up or lower the standard of living of the rich so that we can all afford to live happily. You hear politicians who use the propaganda of deceit. For example, You have come a long way but we still got a lot more of work to do. Another one is "We are all in this together." For their information, we are not all in this together. If they really believe that, then, let them put all the money in it together. You will be hearing those propagandas all of your life and that day will never come. Not too lonog ago there was a newspaper article about a man who was refused an operation because he did not have health insurance. I cannot understand the propasganda of this country. They bring kids and other people from other countries for treatment and operations because they cannot afford it. But, yet, their own citizens are turned away from the emergency room because they do not have heatlh insurance. Private doctors are refusing medicaid because medicaid does not pay them enough. New York City Housing Authority is sending letters to tenants in the projects, asking them to pay for their own repairs because the housing budge for repairs is low on money. This country owes $8 trilliono dollars and it is still borrowing more from china, japan, and OPEC nations to pay for their expenses. On channel 13, a millionair was interviewed.
