It seems to me, the owners in the slaughter houses JUST DON'T CARE about livestock type animals. I wonder what they would feel like if they sent their dogs through to get the same treatment as they give the livestock. Another thing, I don't think they care about people.

Why do I say what I say? It's going back to the old drawing board that people are screaming to "Save the Horses," but yet when people try to rescue them, they charge the person to take the animal away. I do not believe this is right. Especially since they received the animals free. My comment about the dog going through the slaughter house was made in an analogy to the minature horses. Minature horses have more uses than dogs do. These horses are found to be better at being a "Seeing Eye," they tend to be better at "Hearing aides" to the deaf or near deaf. They can be house broken, they are not mean and aggressive like dogs are, they are more devouted to you than dogs are, they are an EXCELLENT companion pet, they can help keep your lawn mowed, and the list continues on.

It wouldn't hurt them a bit to send the minature ponies to the Horse Foundation and/or the Seeing Eye Foundation and the other places that can make great use of them. If they were smart, they would donate them to these organizations and then take a tax write off.

I believe these people need to stop and think whether or not they are slaughtering something useful.
