OK I've now seen 2 versions of the opening. Not sure how many they made.

Wow! This is, by far, the best opening on daytime and it even beats a lot of primetime shows too!

It's stylish and classy! Love the old music again! I always thought it was sacrilege to change it. Love that they use those opening musical chords at the end the scene that leads to the intro....it's classic, retro Y&R. Love that they use B&W actual scenes against the red lettering and they still use the swishy YR thing. Love that they even get in some of the lesser chatacters like Esther and Larry Wharton in the split screen.

I think the lady walking is not a character from the show but more of an icon...I like that shot a lot actually; I find it to be very stylish and kind of perfume ad-like which ties into the cosmetics industry on the show.

Hey CC, have you seen it yet???
