From what I know of the show's history he's not supposed to be a villain but has struggled with being the son of James Stenbeck. He has "played dirty" a couple times but for good reasons...like when he was trying to find out dirt on Marshall. But yeah, he's too nicey nice.

Did you also notice that he looks like he could be the brother of "Friends" Chandler Bing???

I guess if Roger Howarth does play Paul then maybe they'll make him struggle a bit more with the whole son of Stenbeck thing and make him edgier.

Finally, is it just me or does it seem like CBS is really going gangbusters to support its soaps? Between ATWT and B&B they've pulled in some good actors, pulled in Conboy to GL (even though it sounds like that one is more of a last stand). CBS also seems to be advertising the soaps more often.
