I heard that, although unconfirmed by NBC Daytime or Days, that Jimmy Reilly will be head writing both Days of our Lives AND Passions!

This comes right off the announcement that NBC has renewed Days for an additional five years. I also heard that along with the deal, NBC would have more creative control over the show as part of the deal.

I'm not sure how much I like this news. I loved Reilly's work on Days when I saw it(in fact, got me interested in the genre), but I was 12-13 years old then abd I crave soaps nowadays that are written with a little more intelligence and I can only hope soaps begin to write for and cater to more than the bubblegum advertisers that will never buy Clorox Bleach.

But looking at his work on Days in comparison to Passions, Reilly was GOD on Days. LOL.

I also wonder whether this will give us Passions/Days crossovers. MarDevil Redux vs. Tabitha? Hmmmm. YAWN.
