First, my comments on your predictions....

I don't think so. I believe that PC will last at least until fall 2003. The supernatural plotlines really have given the show good buzz and brought some new viewers into the mix. What I would like to see is ABC moving PC to late night and dropping its connection to GH...keeping the characters the same, but having it be its own independent show. And frankly, except for Lucy and Kevin, what regularly appearing PC characters would really be affected by this change?
"NBC will lose affiliates for both Days of Our Lives and Passions."
We can hope! I have not been able to watch a full episode of DAYS in years, and I still don't understand why AW and SUBE were cancelled for PASS (although I admittedly do not think it is as dreadful as it was when it first premiered).
"P&G and CBS will show it's frustration with Guiding Light and it's low ratings, which will dip below a 3.0."
I don't see this show getting cancelled this year...especially so close to its anniversary. However, I do foresee some more onscreen and behind the scenes shuffling!
"Look for Jill Faren Phelps to kill off a beloved character on GH, ala Another World's Frankie."
Oh come on! That's like forecasting Sunday follows Saturday! :.)
"A hot commodite writer or producer in the industry will get a development deal with one of the three nets to create his/her own soap opera."
Hmmm...any one have any guesses as to who that will be?

"Claire Labine could return to daytime, writing Port Charles's currently vapid storyline arcs."
Well, I kind of like the current angelic PC storyline...although it further reinforces my belief that PC actually takes place in another dimension's Port Charles. Does anyone notice any continuity between PC and GH anymore?

I don't see this happening. She really seems to have caught on with a lot of people.
As for my forecasts for 2002....
AMC's Vanessa will be exposed as Proteus and get busted or killed by Brooke, who has been through this all before with her mother. After that, Opal will finally get a storyline when she makes Palmer literally beg to get back with her.
ATWT's Barbara will get all the official blame for whatever ends up happening to Carly, Emily, and Rose...while everyone will suspect James was involved, but be unable to officially prove it.
B&B's Brooke will show up to reclaim her company and go into a difficult labor just as she has the upper hand against the Forresters. During the birth, the truth about Brooke and Deacon will come out...and Brooke will lose her mind and go blankly wandering again. However, this time both Deacon and Ridge will go searching for her...over the objections of Bridget and Amber (Deacon) and the Forresters (Ridge).
DAYS will continue to drag out the switched babies plot until it is too late to redeem it.
GH will write out the characters of Melissa, Roy, and Zander.
GL will end the Marah-Tony-Catalina-whatever rich boy Marah is involved with now romantic square...and not a moment too soon!
OLTL will reveal that Jen is not really Sam's daughter, but Colin's. This will be discovered by Troy, who is really Colin in disguise, during his investigations of Lindsay.
PASS will introduce Kareoke Charity, Valley Girl Charity, Sassy Style Charity, and My First Executive Charity to continue the collection of bizarre Charity variations that all are more interesting than the actual character.
PC will drift further away from GH, until one episode has Lucy asking Kevin when they moved away from their old family and friends.
Y&R will bring Victor and Nikki to the brink of romantically reuniting one more time...and then Hell will freeze over!
