Subject: Long term pain

Hi;
I've lived with chronic pain for 7.5 years. As I am only 26, that is more than a quarter of my life. Over the years, I've worked so very hard to live my life as best I can, despite the pain. I've finished school, work as a professional, married, made new friends (and cherished old ones). There are still many things that I cannot do that I used to be able to do (prior to the injury/ pain), and I still grieve deeply for these losses, while at the same time tring to be grateful for what I still have. After all these years, I accept that pain is a significant part of my life- and I try to live the best life I can around that pain. And, yet- I am so tired. Both physically and emotionally. 7.5 years of this has left me run high and dry. I wonder if anyone else out there can relate? I've carried the burden of dealing with daily pain for so long alone- and sometimes I wish that I could find someone out there who could understand even a little what it is like to face this challenge. I wish I could find someone who has walked a mile in similar shoes to mine.
Sally
