dear Richard, I have chronic back pain and am waiting to see a neurosurgeon. I have been suffering for years and desparately need surgery to help my condition. I am awake now - have been all night. No meds work when I have my pain attacks - however, I live in pain all of the time but sometimes it is worse - especially if I try to lower my dose of percocet (can you imagine that they have me on a street-drug). I was in an auto accident but my condition has worsened after a fall on the ice.
