Dear Susan,
Like Colleen Fleury, I too was amazed that your doctor has you on Tylenol to help combat the chronic pain from Hepatitis C. Tylenol is very bad on the liver, and those of us infected with Hep.C already have severe liver problems.I am on a time released morphine capsul for chronic pain, and under proper medical supervision, have no fear of any addiction. I have been on this since 1997.
I was found to have Hep. C in 1993, after many tests, the last being a liver biopsy. The disease was traced back to 1966 when I had a number of blood transfusions after internal bleeding, relating to secondary problems after an operation. It took 27 years for signs of something being wrong enough to warrent all these medical tests, that required almost a month in hospital. I also have Cirrhosis of the liver and am in what is classified as stage 4. I believe you should really see another Doctor in regards to the treatment you are recieving for your chronic pain. You do not need the problems Tylenol can cause to the liver.
All the best to you, M. Carter
