I had been gone a long, long time and I sure did miss ya'll!

So many things had happened since...good and bad...

The kids are off to college (except when they need moohlas...then we get to see them!)- so, we sold our house and down-sized and moved to a townhouse last December - built an above-the-ground pond and waterfall in our patio!...no more yard to mow!...less house to clean!...less clothes to wash!...NO BIG MEALS TO COOK!...but, yeah - I TERRIBLY MISS 'EM!...=(

We still have Precious though, our Chihuahua, and now she runs our lives pretty much on her "schedule"....lol!

I went on (a hellish) vacation in Portland, Oregon, to see my family...ended up w/ a big knot on my head, a humongous headache, and a big bruise on my hip, after I slipped in my sister's tub 2 days after I got there...then, I developed bronchitis 4 days into my vacation...but, yeah - I won jackpots at the seaside casino (full of cigarette smoke, in their 'non-smoking' section!) - THREE TIMES - in one night!

I also had a home invasion (at gunpoint) a week before we moved out of our old house last December...took me months to get back to 'normal,' mentally and psychologically. The robbers (all teenagers) are now in jail awaiting trials as adults. They assaulted and robbed an older couple and then kidnapped the old guy and put him in the trunk of his car. They were caught trying to cash the old guy's check. One of the robbers matched the fingerprints found at my old house. They were also implicated in more than 23 home invasions, assaults, etc. in our area. That was the turning point in my recovery. I started feeling safer, more confident, and having lesser panic attacks...Did I also mention that the new house has a security alarm system?...=)

So much for that...where's everybody? I get to visit every now and then but never got the chance to post...besides, our computer is now located in the loft...That means I have to climb up the stairs everytime I want to go online!...ugh!
The good thing is, the townhouse has a huge, huge balcony (accessed thru the loft) extending the whole expanse of the second floor!...a dream come true!

By the way, has anyone heard the clips of JC's songs? I love them! He's got a very different style from Justin and I couldn't help but be proud of both of them. I found the links at JJB. Now, I can't wait for Chris'...heard he's also planning to have a solo album!

Well, got to go and "cook"...(aka 'heat some TV dinners'!...lol!

Hey Derlie. It's nice to hear from you. Sorry to hear about your bad news but glad to hear your doing okay. I haven't heard any of Jc's songs. I'll have to do some research on it. Thanks for the info. I'm glad things are turning around for you and they will only get better. I can totally understand about pets and schedules. My aunt has a minature poodle and she has to have everything her way. Her name is minnie. Talk to you later.Darlene08:42:20 07/03/03 Thu
