Task 13 - Material development

Create a good communication activity and describe it to your classmates. Say which type it is, according to Littlewood.

Activity: Students are going to listen to three people talking about things going wrong on holiday. They look at three photographs and try to predict what the problem is likely to be each case. So they are going to discuss this in pairs to think of all the possibilities they can. After that, they listen to the tape to see if they were right or not. According to Littlewood, in this activity, "learners must not only share information, they must also discuss or evalute this information in order to solve a problem" (p. 33) (sharing and processing information)
