Task 13

I will propose a task with some stages.
Suppose the students are learning names of food, and also, count and non-count nouns.

1) The class is divided in pairs, and each person receives a sheet with a recipe, but with some ingredients or quantities missing. One will have the information the other lack, and they will have to ask questions to fill in what is missing in their recipe,such as: "How much flour do we need?" "How many eggs?".
According to Littlewood, this would be SHARING INFO WITH RESTRICTED COOPERATION;

2) After they have finished completing the ingredients, the two students will receive strips of paper with the instructions to prepare the recipe, and they will have to put the strips in order.
This would be SHARING AND PROCESSING INFORMATION;

3) When the recipe is ok, they will go to the fridge (if there is one available) and check if there are enough ingredients to prepare the recipe. The teacher will have prepared the fridge in advance with these ingredients, but some are not sufficient. If the class is small, they will split in two groups: one asks and the other answers.
Again, this is SHARING AND PROCESSING INFORMATION.

4) After having talked about food all class, now they
will use the ingredients to prepare that recipe, with each otherīs help, and in English all the time, of course!
