Explain what a task-based approach is. Describe its main characteristics

Task-based aproach is a method in which the learner´s ability to deal with the language in specific situations is emphasized. It is an approach develloped to foreing language teaching that focus on develop the communicative competence. In this approach, the students are supposed to solve some tasks or problems. Here, the focus is not the language structure. Just after students have completed their task, teacher will discuss the language used by them, making corrections and giving explanations about students performance.

Each task will be organised in the following way:

- Pre-task activity an introduction to topic and task

- Task cycle: Task > Planning > Report

- Language Focus and Feedback
