Portfolio is an instruments where students select and collect the activities they, students, find important. When it really express students personality, and not teacher’s, it furnishes relevant information to be analyzed. The analyzes of a authentic portfolio can, for example, furnish data to a better performance for both sides, students and teachers.

Unfortunately teachers, professors, instructors, etc, despite all demagogic discuss about test, still uses tests and grades as instrument of persuasion, torture and power. Penalizing students every time they not follow or break some of the master’s orders.

Tests are not good instruments to measure student’s capacity or ability, maybe Portfolio, in the future, may assume the place of tests and really perform a role of an instrument where educators can follow students development.

As students select and collect activities educators have the opportunity to realize and discuss with students the effectiveness of the tasks, and so, have a two ways evaluation, educators and students in the same level.
