Task 13.

Create a good communication activity and describe it to your classmates. Say which type it is, according to Littlewood.

Amaze task

The purpose of this task is to make the students interact with each other, use their cognitive ablilities and find location by taking decision.
First of all, the teacher hand out a maze chart(1) to students. Then, in pairs or group of four, the students have to discover how to get in the center of the maze chart (or how to get the exit of it; it will depend on the type of maze chart that one intend to use for). So, the students have to take decision in group or pairs about which paths to take in order to carry out the task. The pairs or group which finish the task first will be the winner and get a prize (this will be according to the teacher choice: it can be a chocolate, a pen , or even nothing).
The students are supposed to use sentences such as ‘let`s take the first/second/third turning on the left/right’; or ‘we have/should take that one; ‘Let’s go in this way/path ’, and so forth. This task will better fit in Littlewood’s activity ‘Discovering sequences and locations’.
