Subject: Task 13

Presentation and objectives of the class
Traveling is something very exciting and who does not like to travel? This activity is about Traveling to New York City spending a whole week, seven days, Saturday till Saturday. For good enjoy of these seven days, the tourists must be very well planed and organized in order to not losing time or lost in the city, because the intention is to go without a tourist guide, in order to practice their English, and as a first time in NY of everybody, this will be a true overseas adventure.
Organization of the class
The class will be divided in some groups, each group will represent something in relation of traveling, like hotel reservation, airline companies, tourist information, etc... and of course a group or some groups of tourists.
First step – research
Each group will research anything about them areas in internet and will organize it writing the information in order to make an advertisement for tourist.
Examples
Group of tourists
Research about hotel location and prices, airline tickets offers, tourist places in New York City, restaurants, transportation, or anything they need to know to organize their research for the best enjoy the time in NY.
Group of Hotel reservation
Research about location, prices, shared or not shared bathroom, breakfast or anything in relation to a hotel.
Group of Airlines
Research about everything in relation with prices, time of departure and arriving and comfort of the aircraft, etc...
Group of tourist information
Research about tourist places in NY. Time that is open, how much is the entrance, the distance and transportation to arrive in there.
Second step – shearing of information
In this step, the tourist group will share information and confirm they research with the other groups. The intention here is to give feedback, because if everybody did they task of research well, the information will be coincident or not much different.
Each group will act like in real life, they will offer to the tourist what they got in the research and the tourist group according with they research will accept or not they offers.
Third step – Feedback
The feedback here will be according with the level of satisfaction of the tourist group. If they are satisfacted the task worked well.
To the teacher
The teacher just will observe if the groups are interested in the task and if they having difficult to find information in internet and organize his ideas.
According with Littlewood this is a Whole task practice.
