ANSWER TASK 13
Create a good communication activity and describe it to your classmates. Say which type it is, according to Littlewood. It MUST be original. Do not copy any activity from textbooks.

In this activity the teachers summon the students for they be introducers of a TV news . The teachers explain the activity for the students supplying some ideas, but the students will be responsible in deciding about what they will talk.

The objective of this activity is the students use the language in order to present a TV news.
Level: Intermediate
Steps:
- In group the students will choose “hot” fact of the moment to talk about it;
- The students will do a research about the fact. They can use newspapers, magazines, encyclopedias and CD ROMs;
- They will change the research in news of TV and will present for the class.

Observations for the students to follow:
. It is important to write in a way clear, because the news will be talked and not read;
. In the moment of the presentation, the students should to speak aloud and pronouncing the words in a way clear;
. They should not decrease the voice at the end of the sentences;
. They should emphasize the words that define facts and names of important peoples.

Therefore, considering that this activity approximates "more closely to the kind of communication situation encountered outside the classroom, where language is not only a functional instrument, but also a form of social behaviour" (Littlewood, 1981:43), I conclude that its type is a “Social interaction activity.”
