Subject: TASK 13

Level: Intermediate
Goal: Listening and Speaking

· Each student has to choose a game and study its rules.
· Later she/he has to explain the game rules to everybody. If the game is only for two people, she/he has to talk about the rules until the other person understands the game. So, they can demonstrate the game to the rest of the class. If the game works to all the class, it’s better.
This activity makes the students talk using many points of the grammar, but it isn’t boring. Learners can improve all the time, mainly if the other person doesn’t understand the game. The “game teacher” has to teach the game in fact, for this the possibilities of talking and change information are big.

This activity could be included in Littlewood’s description of communicative activities in the point Processing Information where students are expected to work with given data and choose their own options.
