ANSWER TASK 9

Explain with your own words what a task-based language learning approach is.

Task-Based Learning is an approach based in tasks the students have to perform or in problem they have to solve in classroom. The students receive a task to perform and when the task is completed, the teacher discuss the language that was used, making corrections and adjustments. The focus of the lesson is the task, not the structure and through the development of the tasks, the students develop communicative competence. Theses tasks are based in situations of real life and the students are free to use the language they want. They will develop the fluency through completing the tasks, and they develop the accuracy through the feedback given by teacher.
