The first text by Vera Menezes, shows the fractal model.
It has many sub-systems such as imput, interaction, context-social-historical, bio-cognitive, automatism, affective and affiliation.
She argues that "depending on the connections among the sub-systems, success in the process of acquisition could vary."
She also points that "the learner is the main part of the process and should be seen as the agent of his/her own learning".

Krashen's theory is based on five hypothesis. The main of them is the acquisition- learning.
According to Krashen, the acquisition requires interaction in the target language and the speakers are concentrated in the communicative act.
In the other hand, the learning is the product of formal instruction. For example, the knowledge of grammar rules.
According to krashen learning is less important than the acquisition.

In my opinion, the language is acquired based on stimulus, motivation and on the learners'needs and feelings.
I agree with Vera, because sometimes one method can work with a student and cannot with another.
