According to Krashen, the aquisition of language is very important since when you learn something without aquiring it you’ll probably forget it in a certain period of time but when you really aquire some information in L2 that information becomes párt of you linguistic system and would become natural for you.
In the other hand this aquisition process is not simple and linear as the author makes appear, nobody is equal and the process of learning and aquiring some language has a long and difficult rode.
When we talk about learning and aquiring a language the Vera Menezes’s text seems to express more the reality since it is concerned about the differences that all of us know that the students have. These differences can be not only phisical but social, interpessoal and has to do with many things; from the time this student you dedicate to the learning process to the kind of relation s/he have with the teacher and classmates.
Considering the learning process as something predictable and linear thing as we see in Krashen is not but symplify too much something that has been matter of many theoretical and practical studies. Dealing with the human being can never be considered symple because although we are all similar to each other each one of us has a certain way of processing what happens among us and to handle with it in their lives.
Another important point is that in Krashen’s theory we get to think that a teaching method if effective to one learner it would be effective to all learners. And at Vera’s text we see that is necessary to addapt the method to the necessity of the teacher.
