Achei muito bom voc� nos fazer retomar esse trecho do livro de lakoff e Turner: "we often reason metaphorically. (...) Our reasoning that time changes things is metaphoric and deeply indispensable to how we think about events in this physical, social and biological worlds. Indeed, so much of our reason is metaphoric that if we view metaphor as part of the faculty of the imagination, then reason is mostly if not entirely imaginative in character" (p. 124).

Realmente seria interessante explorar as consegu�ncias de entender "metaphor as part of the faculty of imagination". O que significa exatamente FACULDADE para Lakoff e Turner? A raz�o seria parte ou uma FACULDADE diferente da imagina��o? Se faz parte da imagina��o ou se s�o faculdades diferentes, quais as opera��es p�prias de cada uma delas? Qual ou quais as rela��es entre elas? Se a met�fora � parte da faculdade da imagina��o, qual ou quais seriam as outras partes? E a mem�ria seria tamb�m uma faculdade? A intelig�ncia seria uma faculdade tamb�m ou � sin�nimo de raz�o?
