Subject: Alive and Well...

Well, I did like Ike, the President, but the Hurricane Ike was something else.

I lost power Sat 2am and got it back tonight.

Saturday day and night was hell...but I am very lucky. Lost my patio fence and some other minor damage.

But if you have seen the news reports, some of the people in Galveston and south of Houston have lost their house and everything.

IKE was a TERROR.

It will takes months and months, maybe even a year or two for some areas and folks to get back to where they were...

I predict, without a doubt, in the long run it will surpass the devistation of Katrina and Rita...COMBINED.

Thanks to All for your thoughts and Prayers...for everyone along the Texas Gulf Coast.

Good to hear from you Bill. I was wondering how you were doing. It sure did look like a monster and it is sad to see how much devestation was done. I was talking to a power company lineman last Friday night and he was leaving for your area on Sat morning. He was predicting that they'd probably be there a month or more.

Overall, even though you had some damage, I'm sure you're thankfull that you made it through as well as you did.

Thanks again for letting us know you're okay. I'm sure all your friends here on the BSheet will be happy to hear it.
