Saginaw Results -- Barney Rubble, Sun, Feb 07 2010, 21:27:59 (pool-98-115-26-139.chi01.dsl-w.verizon.net/98.115.26.139)

1. Matt Bohon 84+90=174
2. Jordan Hupp 85.5+87.5=173
3. Chance Riley 86+86=172
4.Nick Landreneau 89.5+82=171.5
4. Dusty LaBeth 84+87.5=171.5

Not sure who else placed in the average but you had to ride 2 to place and Havre Stewart was like 164 on 2 and didn't even place. They rode lots of bulls. Rocky Johnson was 89 to win 2nd in the long round, Francisco Moraeles was 88 for 3rd in the round and Colby Yates was 87.5 for 4th in the round. Really an outstanding event and congrats to Matt for getting a much needed win. Other notable cowboys competing included Chance Roberts (who was entered twice on friday) Craig Sasse (who placed around 6th in the average), Robson Aragao (who was DQ'd for hooking his knots & sure needed to be from where I was standing), and local favorites like Bump Postlewait, Danny Drown, Shane Rickly (who nearly won the IPRA last year), Tim Muxlow and Nic Lica (who I believe they said was a 2 or 3 time Michigan High school champion). There weren't many injuries, Lucas Guilbeau tweaked his elbow friday night but was able to compete saturday (and started a really good ride to be in the high 80's in my opinion, just came down a little quick), one Canadian who apppeared to seperate his shoulder and Shane Kenney (the bullfighter) who took a really hard shot late saturday night but appeared to be fine.

I hope y'all are enjoying my updates. I'll try to keep 'em coming if and when I have internet access.

Bulfighters were Shane Kenney, and (I think) Thomas Alamont. Ryan Litwill was the funnyman, Terry Starnes announced (it was good to see him again) Jerry Downey judged along with Kelcey Salisbury (hope I spelled it right that time), Mark Reed was the arena director and had bulls there, and Marvin Wycuff did a great job in the production role for Jerry Nelson. Really a well run event and I hope that it continues to be an annual stop on the tour.

Sure do like to see your posts here about the Touring Pro events. Don't know why but the PBR site always seems to be real slow to post those event results. Hope you keep up whenever you get the time. Thanks.

My Trades... -- The BooMan, Thu, Feb 04 2010, 20:45:46 (ppp-70-243-37-58.dsl.hstntx.swbell.net/70.243.37.58)

Well, here I go...right or wrong...

With Kostoh out, (and that continuous elbow problem is concerning) so injury/not-in-the-draw trade is...
Trading away Lostoh for Ross Coleman (tough choice over Willingham and Canter)...just hoping the now almost an 'old timer' can Cowboy Up, cause I'm thinking he ain't got a whole lot of years left since his podz Justin said Bye-Bye...

Trade period trade is...
Trading away Elliott Jacoby (and I like him) for Mike Lee...I had Mike picked for my original team (and have always had room for him on my team in the past) and he got caught up this year with me trying to get my team to 180 points. I've both liked him and been mad him...so we'll see how it goes.

Thanks again Joann...

And Good Luck To All...(Can't believe I'm front running and in 1st place, 'cause I usually end up trying to catch up coming around the back stretch...)

All In, All Done...

----TBM

PS = Farewell Randy B - I got to meet him last March at HLSR when he was here to promote a PBR Night at our Rodeo = Seems to be a Great Guy, and obviously did wonders building the PBR to what it is today...

Howdy All, This will be our first trading period, so you can make one non-injury trade (and any not in the draw trades that you need). You will need to use the current standings for the rest of the season.

I almost forgot, one of the bullsheeters suggested that since only the top 40 were riding, we should consider 40 and below in the standings. That seemed like a dang good idea, and we agreed the first trading period would be a good time to make that change. So anyone 40 below are all considered equal for our game.

Please do the following trades... Thanks.

Replacement trade for both teams JAG and SLG: Replace B. Jones with J. Newberry

Injury/Cut trade for team SLG: Replace C. McCoy with S. Wing

And hey everyone... Where's the discussions/opinons on the Randy Bernard move? I know that we all didn't always, and in some cases still don't, agree with everything that the PBR does but I have to think that he did a really good job of helping to grow the sport. It will be very interesting to see who replaces him and what their vision of the next level is. All I can really hope for is that the PBR picks someone who won't forget about the fans who have been there since the beginning. I know he didn't do it alone but I have to say a big Thank You to Randy for being a part of this growth. Nothing but good wishes for him.

What say you?

TEAM HOFFY -----
Trading Rocky McDonald for Beau Hill
Replace K. Lostroh with Newberry
Replace B. Clark with Stormy Wing

TEAM GINI
Trading Rocky McDonald for Beau Hill
Replace Brendon Clark with Stormy Wing

This trading business is a mess isn't it? Did McCoy and Clark get cut? Couldn't find anything on it.

Toledo Results -- Barney Rubble, Sat, Jan 30 2010, 13:30:08 (pool-173-53-139-12.chi01.dsl-w.verizon.net/173.53.139.12)

Last night's results:
1. Brett Maurer 85 + 87 = 172
2. Chance Roberts 86 + 82 = 168
3. Chance Roberts 79 + 81.5 = 160.5
4. Jordan Hupp 83 + 72 = 157

That was everyone who rode two. Chance Roberts was entered twice, as was Bump Postlewait (who failed to ride a bull). I believe Shane Rickly, John Leineweaver and Billy Robinson also got scores on one. Pretty good set of bulls and bull riders. Matt Werries couldn't get there due to the weather, as well as Ronnie Kitchens. Will try and get results posted after tonight as well and will try to make sure they're all correct.

Cody Sosebee was the funnyman, Racer Botkin & Donny Gay announced, I don't recall anyone else who was there other than Cole Sharp & Kelsey Saulsberry judged it.

Sorry if I mispelled anyone's name.

Billy Robinson was 85.5 + 86.5 to split first in the average. Jordan Hupp rode two bulls again, this time for 81 & 85.5 to split 3rd and 4th with Chance Roberts (who was winning 2nd & 3rd after friday night). They were the only guys to ride 2 bulls last night. Evan Rasch was 88 to win the long round and end up about 6th in the average but bucked off a trashy SOB in the short go.

Sorry is these results are not exact but I do know for a fact that Billy Robinson & John Leinweaver split the win with 172 apiece, Chance Roberts won 3rd (which I believe was split with Jordan Hupp). Chance also won 5th and Jordan won 6th. Even had the high score of the weekend, winning the long round and placing 7th in the average. Not sure who won 8th but I think it was Brett Maurer whom I had mistakenly listed as having won friday's perf. Hope you enjoyed the results.

In other news Jimmy Twedt was winning the Des Moines, IA Superbull after one round but I don't know where he ended up.

Other notable riders at Toledo included IPRA stars Shane Rickly *& Bump Postlewait. Matt Werries & Ronnie Kitchens weren't there due to weather issues.

The crowd in Toledo was really good and hopefully the event will happen again next year.

Cody Sosebee was the funnyman, I misspelled one of the judges names (Kelcy Salisbury) but I thought he and Cole Sharp did quite a good job. The pen of bulls was really nice. I think I need to get to riding a little better because there was lots of money to be made for a guy that could ride a little.

Bulls were provided by Mark Reed, Jerry Nelson, Derek Bevington and Redeye Rodeo Company, whom I'd never heard of but had pretty good bulls. Derek may have had the best overall set.

Bump Postlewait made a GREAT effort last night. He only marked a 61, which was right, but he hung upside down for better than 3 seconds to get the whistle and it ended up paying off at least a little bit.

The whole crew did a great job and the gatemen were extremely funny along with doing a good job pulling gates.

I will try and get y'all a good update from the next event I'm at. I love this being able to enter the same event twice and save travel costs.

I think Barney meant to write that Evan Rasch had the high score of the weekend and won the long round with his 88 point effort saturday night. The crowd was really good, and I enjoyed getting to be there. I just wish Mr. Rubble would spell my name right.

Susan... Marchi hurt his wrist and the information I saw said that he'll probably be out a couple of weeks. Of course that depends on how the wrist heals.
