Subject: Ain't Counting Them Chickens Yet...

Just got back from a business trip to Southern Louisiana and first chance to get on line.

Thanks for the kind words Al, but like the 'Old Timer' always said, "Don't count yer chickens before they hatch." With that said, my team, with the exception of Wiley P, did perform well.

It has been a fun year, and a big thanks to Joann from me, too.

Hope you enjoy the Finals, Al...and all who are there. Here's hoping all the 'Boys and the Bulls stay safe.

On a funny note, I had lunch with a two key customers in Houma and Morgan City on Tuesday and Wednesday. Now, you know Southern Louisiana is known for some of the best Cajun seafood in the world. I always let them name the lunch place, so guess what I had for lunch two days in a row...Mexican Food. Me from Houston, well known for great Tex-Mex food and had it for dinner Saturday night. Who 'da thunk it...Truth is stranger than fiction.

Well you can get to bragging now because you sure did put on a burst at the end! Congrats! It was a fun year for sure.

We got back late last night. Tough to go from 70's to 40's for daytime temps! Along with every leaf in the neighborhood being in my yard.. Or at least it looked that way.. Hours of blowing, raking, mowing.. Oh well, it's better than snow!

Had a great time. Ended up sitting with Cody and Stacey Custer (Thanks again Stacey) for the 3 nights (Fri - Sun) events. Got to meet a couple of their new OK neighbors also. Great people. Great event. Can't do much better than that. Even though Vegas wears on me (too much noise, etc.) it's still a great Finals. No way Marchi was going to be denied this year! Probably not a dry eye in the place when Adriano took his last ride. Didn't matter that he bucked off. That is a class act that we hope stays involved with the PBR. We were all hoping that Justin would end up with Camo one last time but it just wasn't to be. Great ride to end a career. There's another guy who's come a long way. Even though those two are gone, there are so many other good riders that it looks like the PBR will continue with new superstars.

Flint was in rare form. He came up with a couple of new song parities that had us all laughing.

Each time we go, we say "Wow.. What a great Finals". And it just seems each time gets better. Don't know when we'll make another but sure glad we did this one.

Got to meet up with Terri.. Ran into her at the airport the morning we were leaving and visited after the event on Sat.. Hadn't seen her for awhile so it was good to catch up.

Special thanks to Joann for the game. I still don't know how she does it.

One last thought.. A couple of people I talked to said that they don't think Justin will stay retired.. I think he will but what do you think?.. Should he?.. Will he?.. Just some food for conversation/thought.

Congrats again to BooMan for #1 place!!
