I cannot go to see the play. I just have a naughty question:

Is "The Little Match Girl" of Andersen a tragedy?

The girl died with a smile in snow. It is a tragedy to those who feel pity for her. She may not feel too bad, I don't know.

I always want to sell match on the street in Christmas. A lot of people will have no appetite for Christmas dinner. It is naughty. May be I should try it this time.

There is no big improvement since the days of Andersen. The story keep happening everyday. There are still a lot of little match girls out there.

In your book "Sound of Rivering Time", I think the main character sells more than matches. We all are chasing after the walking roasted chicken and a warm smile from someone we care, like the match girls, old and new.

Andersen's "the little match girl" is too real, not a fairy tale.
