There was one game on The Park against Bridgend that sticks in me mind more than others.I simply remember Big Ross Thompson peeling away from a rolling maul [which we were VERY good at incidentally Jeff Robinson, Crock, Wally Jervis, Nunners, Bunter, Ian Wilkinson, etc, etc] and strolling under the posts from about 20 metres out to win the game, if my memory serves me correct we won the game 10-8.

The worse games were the Schweppes/Welsh cup "slip ups" which included Abercrave and the away to Nantyfyfflon, what a shocker that was!!!!

  • Remember a cup quarter-final? against Llanelli at the park when Adrian Barwood scored one of the tries of the season (as selected by BBC Wales) unfortunately as on a few other occasions we came second best on the day. (NT) -- The Sec, 19:25:36 01/03/06 Tue
  • The Sec is wrong as usual! ;-) We won the game when Adrian Barwood scored - was against Neath in the last 16 game and I seem to recall the score was something like 24-15 - I was scoreboard boy at the time! We lost to Llanelli in the home quarter final. Dodgers' message has reminded me of Ian Wilkinson - cracking player as was Gavin Pugh at that time. Although more of a back row, I put Ross Thomson in the second row because just having him on the pitch was an inspiration. I recall him taking over what seemed like the whole Cross Keys pack on his back over the line to score down there. Best games - Dunvant home (2nd) - Kevin Price last minute drop goal from 45 metres to win - and tops without doubt, Swansea away April 1995. (NT) -- Dai, 09:46:30 01/04/06 Wed
