Reference to the book 'Who's Who of Welsh International Players', published in 1991, shows thirty two men with the surname Thomas (including one also called Maynard from time to time!). Only two are listed as having played for Abertillery - William James Thomas and William Trevor Thomas. (It is not clear whether they were 'Aber' players when capped. I suspect WJT was a Newport or Cardiff player when capped). However, the book does not claim to be one hundred per cent complete. Good luck with your research. D.
