I have been going to post a message for some time now thanking everybody for the great support we get at the park and at away games but as it is well documented our more senior pro out there on the field with the boys is doing a great job of keeping everybody up to speed on team matters.I read the message times of change this morning and was delighted to see that we have an Aber lass so interested in what is going on at the club and that she would be interested in setting up a ladies commitee in the club, the trouble is that i do not know who the Aber lass if she came up to the club and introduced herself to Paul and myself we would love to have a chat. But the main reason that i am posting my message is to cover one point in the message times of change,it may be that you actually only see one commitee man doing anything at the club but i and i am sure Paul would point out to you that even though we have a very small commitee all are working very hard to get the club back to where we want to be.Anyway best get on with some work now have not got the same luxury as Hon sec cannot lay in bed all day doing nothing, just one thought and i am not having a go at anybody but i think it is better to help resolve problems than to add to them

  • Thats not the view I get when I go to the games - Just because people are not visible it does not mean they do not have a role! I know that committee members have a range of jobs to do on match day from the shop, to looking after the ref, to making refreshments for the teams, to putting out the banners, to collecting the post protectors, being available and the medical driver etc etc - personnally I believe that women's committees are a bit stuck in the 70's why have a seperate body???? if you can help let some one know. • The above replies answer the criticism. The current committee are working hard to complement the fard work and efforts being put in by players and coaches. As was said, those efforts are not always that visible but nevertheless they go on. I am sure that any extra help in nay way - male or female - would be very welcome. The club is in good spirit.
