Subject: I agree Graham - No-one should condone foul play, but my opinion on these specific cases is that they are not clear cut. Evans did clearly kick back which caught Ellis but did he actually see Ellis and was it that malicious as it caught him on the leg? The fact that Ellis was apparently badly injured (though his knee was already strapped) is irrelevant. I suspect he will get a ban in the order of six weeks. Henson's is even more complicated. The elbow I don't believe was intended to be malicious but rather an instinctive thing if something is coming to clobber you from behind. As for the "kick", from the other angle it seems as if he was simply kicking his way out of being held around the socks. I may be wrong. That is why the hearings are right I believe.
