Sorry to start a new message on same topic - need the space. I have to totally agree with the sentiments expressed below. We need not only to get to the Park but to be supportive in the true sense of the word when we are there.

I know I am pushing against an open door with the readers here but we have got to remember that we are building and the last thing the lads on the field need is 'helpful' suggestions from the stand about how to improve their game! Positive support is needed. The more of us who are determined to cut out the bad habits of past crowds in giving players and ref (OK, sometimes richly deserved as far as refs go) a hard time, the more those who do will feel stupid by comparison. Lets make the Park a fortress for opposing teams - we can start on saturday.

While I am at it, having spent a short time working for the club in the past I know exactly how hard the backroom boys must have worked over the last year to get the team set-up running again. It can be a heartbreaking business. We need to show our thanks as supporters. If anyone wants reminding just cast your mind back 12 months - I among many must have thought that we would never see the Green and White on the Park again. Hats off to those who have made this forthcoming season a reality.

Anyway - see you saturday. And bring your membership cheques!
