Crystal Acorn Honey Dough

Ingredients:
5-10 Acorns(shelled or unshelled)
2-3 tbsp. honey
1/4 cup granulated white sugar
1/4 cup brown powdered sugar
1-2 tbsp. butter or margirane

Directions:
1)Put all ingredients in a greased or buttered frying pan.

2)Heat on high on the stove.

3)Stir constantly until concotion starts to boil then, take frying pan off stove eye and move it to another one to cool.

4)After it stops bubbling, pour concotion in a small ceramic bowl.

5)Place bowl in the freezer for 20-30 minutes or until concotion is stiff but not frozen!

6)Scrape concotion out of bowl and onto a small ceramic plate.

7)Use the acorns as eyes, ears, and nose once you shape the "honey-dough" into a desirable form.

Taste:
Very, very sugary I advise only a tablespoon at a time.
Acorns are foul tasting, you don't want to eat them.

Texture:
Sticky and moldable, like caramel. A mix between a goo and a dough. Fun! Stays in a shape for about 5-10 seconds then melts down in to it's original form. This recipe will leave a sticky film on your hands.

Behind the Scenes:
This was an attempt to make Candied Chestnuts, but I didn't have any so I used acorns. Eventually, it turned into my own unusual creation. I had a great time making it, and I hope all you Dabbers do too!

The cook-in-training,

J.T.
