Never was a fan of artificial sweeteners almost all of which have been found to have some issues after they were put on the market.
But not all of the drawbacks were as dangerous as the studies indicated.
Saccharine for example was used for decades before they decided it was a dangerous option based on a study that showed the body could not process saccharine ( a mono saccharide unlike natural sugar which is a disaccharide ).
My Grandmother used Saccharine for decades with no problems well before the study was made.

Turns out it takes about 80 years of heavy saccharine use for it to be a problem buildup in the human system.
