When he can't scramble around any more and he's getting hurt because of it is when he should retire. George Blanda was around for a long time after he hung up his QB spurs and decided that kicking was fun.

Well, in football terms Favre's a geezer and I say, more power to him, and let's see the Jets kick some Patriot ass this year, by God. Send those jumped up cod sucking yankees back to whatever cold corner of hell they came from. Hmmmmmph.

Parenthetically, last year's superbowl was probably the greatest football game and biggest upset I have ever watched. The Dragon Lady says it was better than superbowl III, which she watched.

When you see what getting hit and hitting does to some of these fellows it's not a pretty sight. It's like going out and being in a car wreck every weekend.

I heard an interview with Bill Romanowski a while ago and he's seriously messed up from all the concussions he had. He had a lot of trouble holding a string of thoughts together, and he was worse than the guy who used to live in my house who had early onset Alzheimer's.
