Welcome back Marita good to see you found the board.

I think that peoples impressions odf former FC associates and how they are now functioning in this crazy world are a bit colored by their own ways of dealing with the present reality as opposed to what was happening back then.
As Chris pointed out below J Corsi is entitled to his opinions and so are we all.
I don't think this in any way invalidates what he was doing back then and though I never met him nor took any classes from him it sounds like he gave of himself to those who did and that the results were favorable.

None of us knows what makes people change or even if they had opinions or beliefs back then that were similar to those they now espose.

There's enough vitriol and finger pointing coming from both sides of the far fringes at present for everyone to see vast conspiracies and hateful individuals coming from all directions.

Jerry seems to have gone very far right politically and also seems to be using some rather questionable methodology to make his points. That's not unusual for either side of the argument these days and the trend goes way back.
As I tried to point out a while back the present stuff is probably mild by comparison to what was taking place back in the formative period of this countries development when personal attacks via the media were the main way of trying to get one up on your competition.

I don't see these things as either new or particularly effective as most people now already have their point of view and their choices made and these types of tactics are probably not very effective for making anyone change their mind.

I have not read any of Jerrys stuff and don't expect to read much if any any time soon or maybe ever but if I find I have the time and the inclination I might just to see how far he has gone in the direction it seems he went.

As for your question on the voting I would suppose that whatever you decide to do you have about an equal chance of getting your vote counted. Absentee ballots though a long time accepted way of voting have been questioned and challenged as much as the somewhat less than satisfactory direct voting methods in most previous election cycles.
It seems that no matter how well they try to make this a foolproof process someone always manages to screw it up or something occurs that makes the process less than satisfactory when it comes time to count the votes.
Must be Murphy is laughing his ass off somewhere at the attempts to create a foolproof process.

Hope everything is going well for you and yours,

bill
