Well either they, and I mean all of the so called talking heads on all sides, are out for themselves or they are the modern equivalent of " hired guns ".
SOme of course have deep seated beliefs and are beiing used by one side or the other who quote them and promote them as long as they are favortable to the present agenda. Some are fed or directed to materials that help push their POV in a specific direction by the power brokers or backroom wheeler dealers to help get their POV out in public view and some are only in it for the money which is probably the largest group who do this for a living and are taking advantage of the ready market for the kind of stuff they crank out which can be leaning in any direction.

The old school reporter has prety much disappeared since the watergate story broke and everyone in reality reporting wants to be the next Woodward and Bernstein breaking the next big story or revealing the next big scandal or coverup or whatever.
A lot of misinformation or deliberatly skewed oinformation gets tossed about either on purpose or as propaganda for one or the opther side of anything that is controversial and the public just eats it up which furthur obscures the real fact and the real stories.

There are certainly very powerful and very rich people and organisations willing to promote whatever fits into the ideologies or propagandising they want the people to see and hear and discuss and react to.

It seems a bit strange though that some of the people who put out small editions of so called revealing information get some of the largest response while established media offerings are often not questioned or get very little criticism.

Big money is behind most of what goes on particularly in political circles these days and big money comes ( or goes away ) as a result of what happens politically in return .

In the end I suppose that where the money trail ends is relevant opnly to those who see the source as a bad influence. This of course is usually dependent on the pov of the persons following the trail and one mans angel is another mans devil if you know what I mean.
