frank - after my last input here i caught an interview w/
Corsi on BBC's Newsnight and was startled at how coarse
(no pun) and uncouth he had become over the years. During my three years at Franconia '72-75 i had a number of courses with him and a couple of tutorials as well covering Aristotle to Acquinas the medieval theology of Ýbn
Sina to early Greek rhetoric and got to know him a bit although he kept his distance from the students more pointedly than his colleague Bill Congdon, with whom he was at ideological loggerheads although in a mild and jocose way. He was a known conservative but not the raving ad hominem attack dog that he appears to be know, and i received a great education from him. Ýt's bizarre to think that he may change the course of American political history (again) in the worst possible way.
