you're right about that with normal people. christian extremists imagine satan is everywhere. they believe he jumps out of 'sinful' books
most of the books on the list are just books. like what is said about cigars.
once i was reading Steinbeck in a park in the town i once lived in and a local politician, who was conservative told me i shouldn't read that.Steinbeck is american literature.
in the book 'the family' about the bush family claims that the only book in the bush house was a joke book on farts. it also said that when at college w was asked to read the grapes of wrath and he told the professor that he wasn't going to read that commie book.
where he got that it was a commie book must have come from some one who didn't read it.
